We are located on the quiet shores of beautiful Blindfold Lake Ontario just off Highway 71 across from Rushing River Provincial Park. We are approximately 25km outside of downtown Kenora or 45 km from downtown Sioux Narrows in the heart of the Canadian shield or as its been dubbed “Sunset Country”. Our convenient location gives us access to many fantastic fisheries just a short distance away, whether it may be leaving our dock heading out onto Blindfold for as many slab crappie as you can handle or a short portage into legendary Lake of the Woods for an unforgettable walleye bite or whatever other species of game fish you may wish to target. Dogtooth lake being part of the Rushing River system which feeds our very own Blindfold lake is known for its true trophy potential and is just a short commute from our camp. We promote catch and release trophy angling with NO exceptions to this rule, take a picture and put em back.
Our target species include:
Lake of the Woods – Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Lake trout, Muskie , Northern pike
Blindfold Lake – Black Crappie, Northern Pike, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass
Dogtooth Lake- Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike
BUCK CAMP BLINDFOLD LAKE:
As the summer turns to fall and the leaves begin to change BUCK CAMP Blindfold style begins. I have personally been a member of a long time Buck camp and it’s a bond so special only those who have been there truly know what I am talking about. At Canadian Shield Outfitters we go the extra mile to make sure our guests share the same experiences and build those special memories that bring us back year after year. Whitetail hunting in Northwestern Ontario is second to none, we grow em’ big up here… Dark tall heavy massed head gear atop a 300 lb bruiser is a sight in itself. Our deer population is strong with an average buck to doe ratio making the pre rut to post rut an exciting time to be in the Whitetail woods. Our set ups include baited box blinds, hang on tree stands, climbing stands, and ground blinds. All areas have been meticulously scouted with scent control and human pressure always considered first and foremost. Private land and crown land hunts are available.
