My week long stay at Canadian Shield Outfitters (CSO) was unbelievable. I shot the biggest buck of my life on the first evening, after only seven hours of hunting! Dale is an extremely knowledgeable guide who takes time to ensure the details of your hunt are worked out prior to your arrival. His obsession with whitetail hunting combined with his knowledge of the local area is something you definitely won’t find at most outfitters in the Kenora area.

CSO’s accommodations are perfect for a week long stay inNorthwestern Ontario. The location is the most important aspect to me, which allows me to hunt various locations that are close to camp. Dale has the ability to ensure your needs are met at camp all while allowing your crew the flexibility to enjoy your stay at your own pace.

I have hunted the Kenora area for six years, and have taken some decent bucks prior to my stay at CSO. For the price at CSO, I can assure you it is well worth it. Having stands and areas which have been scouted, stands hung, and trail cameras set allows you to maximize your week hunting instead of having to spend half your time trying to find a quality buck to hunt and set up on.

Our entire crew tagged out in four days even after passing on some quality bucks. We will be heading back for many years to come after meeting Dale and spending some time hunting with him. Overall, I consider CSO’s #1 quality to be dependability. As our drive from Michigan typically runs us about 15 hours (one way), it is comforting to know that when you show up your camp, stands, and guide will be ready to make your week one you will never forget.

Dale is a guide you can trust and most importantly rely upon he is also a great guy to be around. He is an avid Bow Hunter and outdoorsman who knows were the whitetails are and has the proof too support this on his many game cameras. He can also put you on too some great fishing. I have been hunting the Kenora area for 6 years now and felt like I knew the area pretty well, but not like Dale does. This is the second year we have stayed with Canadian Shield Outfitters, the first year we just rented the cabin. This year Dale guided us and what a difference! He put us on some great whitetails all 4 in our group were tagged out by midweek and myslef I took a nice 9 point on the second day. If you hunt with Dale just be patient there is a bigger one coming.

My 2012 whitetail hunt at Canadian Shield Outfitters was nothing short of superb. This year I shot my personal best whitetail a beautiful dark brown, 5×6! Owner and guide Dale McClintock sent me trail cam pictures leading up to Buck camp of potential deer at the spot he was going to have me sit. The overall attention too detail at CSO involving their tree stand/ ground blind placements, shooting lanes, and overall comfort of their stand sites made all day sits a breeze. The cabin at CSO was spacious and warm, a great spot to come home to after a day in the whitetail woods. CSO was the best choice we ever made for a new start to an old tradition of deer camp!
